Winter Holidays in the Val di Non – Casa Predaia
Experience the magic of winter in Trentino — snowy landscapes, pure nature, Christmas markets and authentic mountain traditions.
Winter in Sfruz, around 1,015 metres above sea level
Sfruz is a small village on the Predaia plateau. Combine a walk through the village with a snow outing when conditions allow or a cultural visit in the valley. Snow in the village is not guaranteed: plan around the weather and seasonal openings, then return to your own apartment with a kitchen.
Snowshoeing and winter walks in Predaia
Doss da Spin, between Solarium Predaia and Rifugio Predaia ai Todes’ci, is one of the winter walks listed by the Val di Non tourist office. For snowshoeing, consider an organised outing with a local guide and check difficulty, equipment and daily conditions. Summer tracks to Corno di Tres or Monte Roen are not designated winter routes.
Skiing, sledging and family days
Predaia Park offers areas for learning to ski and sledging, near the Predaia ski facilities. Other options include Ruffrè–Monte Nock and the Mendola Pass area. For larger ski areas, consider Paganella at Andalo or the Daolasa access in Val di Sole. Check snow reports, open lifts, prices and driving directions before departure. These destinations require a car journey; the apartments are not beside the slopes.
For guests who do not ski
Explore the villages and the tiled stove tradition of Sfruz. Check winter opening for castles, museums and sanctuaries. For ice skating, consult the Palasmeraldo timetable in Fondo; frozen lakes must not be treated as freely accessible rinks. Check valley cross-country centres for opening. Contact mountain huts and restaurants directly for availability and reservations.
Christmas, New Year and Epiphany
Use Sfruz as a base for village events and Christmas markets. Programmes, dinners and evening outings must be confirmed with their organisers. Staying in an apartment gives you the choice between joining the celebrations and enjoying a quiet evening at home.

Winter views
Using your Trentino Guest Card
The Trentino Guest Card is included in your Casa Predaia stay. Link the code to the Mio Trentino app and check the validity shown on the card, up to 20 days. It covers participating public transport for journeys starting and ending in Trentino and free or reduced admission under each service’s conditions. Validate every journey. Check opening dates, reservations and the benefit for each museum, castle or activity. Minors must be accompanied by an adult. The ordinary Trento–Bolzano journey is not covered.
